INKspired #43

Wow! welcome to blog hop #43.
It sure feels good to  be back in the crafting world again.  It certainly has been a while, and there are some big changes! New faces have come and some have left us but I'm positive that the quality will be just as good, if not better, than ever!

As you may remember (I know, it's been around 8 months) Teneale puts together a sketch each fortnight and we interpret the sketches and come up with an original, one of a kind masterpiece.  All different but based on the same sketch just like the one below

 This is a quick and easy card and post! 

I am getting prepared to go to Melbourne for Stampin' Up!'s FIRST On Stage Event!! 

I'm Looking forward to catching up with some of my "once a year" guys and gals!

I had to take this second photo as I didn't think you could see the Sentiment too well.

I used the washi mask again to ink up the "wonderful" on the greeting and then coloured "Happy" & "Christmas" with the stamp'n write marker.

It is a VERY simple and quick card!  Perfect for someone busily multitasking family duties and packing at the same time as well as starting a new job too! Phew!

INKspired 27 - Happy Elfin' Christmas!

I do so love the Christmas Cuties stamp set they are just so adorable!

When Teneale set this sketch for us she said we could substitute the star for any shape we wanted to use, but (in my opinion) this little fellow and the way he's leaping for the joy of Christmas makes him look like a star! Don't you agree?

Renee Lynch is having a well deserved break this week so next up is my very gorgeous and talented, SU Aunt, Narelle Macey.

This week over at the Global Design Project they have a doozy of a sketch.  I really struggled with this - even still not too sure about the end result,but hey it's there for inspiration and this is what I came up with based on the sketch provided!

#GDP004 - CASE the designer...

It's very daunting to case the designer publically, especially when the designer is

THE LOUISE SHARP

She is very talented and has worked really hard to get to where she is.  We are case-ing her card today (for those of you who are wondering; CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything, be it the layout, colour scheme, theme or any other part of the project that just grabs your attention and inspires you - there is a better definition on the Global Design Project's Blog but that is it basically)

So from Louise's card I have taken the following elements of design to make it my own; colour scheme (neutrals and gold) and theme (Christmas)

Now any card "inspired" by Louise needs 3 essential ingredients...

1.  a bow of SOME kind,  - check

2.  Some sparkle or bling &  - check

3. PINK  - check

This little angel is water coloured with stampin' write markers in neutral tones with PINK blushing cheeks.  She is just so cute and she comes from the Christmas Cuties Stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue.

I will list the products below so you know what you need to recreate this project yourself - or something similar

Inkspired Blog Hop Sketch 4 - Endless Christmas

Welcome back!  Our INKspired Artists Blog Hop has been a great success!  I certainly hope you are enjoying all of the talented ladies and their amazing creations - I know I am - remember also you can CASE (Copy And Share Everything) any of the ideas you like - just remember to give credit to the original artist.

Here is our sketch

I decided to make another Christmas card using the Festival of Trees Bundle.  I do like the flexibility of the photo-polymer stamps, can you see how I curved the "merry" around a bit just for fun.  For a bit of Christmas Glitz I "snailed" down the edge of the front panel and dipped it in Dazzling Diamonds.  I used Pink Pirouette  and Coastal Cabana to ink up a background and tried out the Heat & Stick powder with more Dazzling Diamonds  for some extra sparkle - you can NEVER have too much sparkle ;)

I made this card for the Just Add Ink - Just Add Bows - challenge

 

to make the card I used some of the goodies out of the Seasonal Catalogue (I won't say "new" as it has been out already for a month!) The luscious grosgrain ribbon and diagonal "Stripes" embossing folder are both from the Seasonal Catalogue. You can click on the picture to the right of your screen (as I have FINALLY added it to my sidebar) to be redirected to view the awesome products.

 You may notice that the stamped image I have used is NOT in the current OR Seasonal Catalogues.

My Mother-in-law celebrated her birthday this week so this is the card I made for her. I think "chevrons" are starting to grow on me...

 

I have also been busy creating a new "Watermark" with PicMonkey do you like it? I think the butterflies are cute. It really is easy!

Ok so I was not overly impressed with my first card, don't get me wrong I liked it but I just thought I could do better, that said, I got this lovely Penny Black stamp from my SIL so I decided to make her a card with it hope she doesn't check my blog before she picks up my kids tomorrow! Again, the sketch
