Butterfly Basics - INKspired Artists Blog Hop 16

Welcome to our INKspired Team Blog Hop. You may have just hopped here from the gorgeous Louise she never ceases to amaze me.
Teneale Williams creates our sketch challenges each fortnight and this is what we have for number 16!

Stampin' Up!'s South Pacific Convention (or "Glitter and Glue Sticks" as my friend's Husband calls it) was held on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia this year and I was fortunate enough to attend.  It's always great to catch up with some long lost friends (that you only see one a year) and to actually MEET the people you 'Chat" to on facebook and follow on pinterest and instagram.

Part of the Convention is "freebies" YAY this year we received a cute stamp set - not available till 2nd June...

and I used one of the images to create my background as you can barely see inside the heart.

The technique  I used also came from Convention.  I used a dauber to "pick up" ink from my inkpad and then randomly sponged the ink onto the surface of the stamp - very hit and miss, but that is the look I wanted. A kind of worn look.  I think this set will be one of my favourites! Keep your eye out for it in the upcoming catalogue!

Keep well and be kind to one another. Be sure to come back soon because our next Blog Hop is just around the corner...

Maree McIntosh is your next stop but if you get lost along the way, or a link doesn't work, it doesn't matter because you will find the full blog hop line up in my side bar.
