Blog Hop # 23 - Words of Truth

Hello to all of you that are visiting me today!
This is the 23rd blog hop from the talented team of INKspired Artists.
Have you hopped over from Louise in the INKspired Challenge or have you come from Just Add Ink?
I have entered this card into one of their challenges also, Just Add Male.

Please make sure you check out all the Blogs in our INKspired team and see what everyone has done with our sketch this week.

My card uses both the "Skating By" and the "Words Of Truth" stamp sets.
This guy is so cute! I just love his Razzleberry pants!  Can you see his guitar strings? I used the silver metallic thread to make real strings on his rockin' guitar! Totes adorable!

Are you wondering how I did the splash of Bermuda Bay in the bottom corner?  Well I did that with a technique called "Clear Block Stamping". It is literally just scribbling onto a clear block and just pressing down (or stamping) the ink onto your project! You can see a quick video of this technique <here> it's an easy technique and gives such a great "grungy" look too.

Maree is next in line as always and I can't wait to see what she has made for us...

INKspired Blog Hop 22

Hi and welcome to INKspired #22!  Did you get here via Louise Sharp or are you starting here? Either way, grab a cuppa, sit back and be amazed! I hope you are enjoying our fortnightly challenges and getting some INKspiration from our team of talented stampers. This weeks sketch is amazing!  I think it's one of the most versatile sketches we've had yet, as you can tell by the team's' cards this week! I can see so many "big sentiment" cards being made with this, especially Christmas!

As you can see I have made another baby card.  Firstly because they are so cute and secondly because  the "Big News" stamp set has the biggest sentiments that I own.  I am totally in love with the colour, Lost Lagoon, it pairs so well with Pool Party and I'm sure it loves me too because every time I open the stamp pad I end up with lost lagoon fingers or "spots" on my hands!  Luckily it hasn't yet ended up in my lap (touch wood!).  I embossed the Lost Lagoon panel with the Lucky Stars embossing folder, you can't see it very well but it is there.

I have used a silver foil layer under the Lost Lagoon. It's not that easy to see in the top photo but you can see it in the second photo.  The "Cherry On Top" paper stacks are so cute, Kabrina has used some of the other designs on her invitations, this one has spots and little squiggles - C.U.T.E.! You can also peak at the embossed stars on the inside (I only did two corners of embossing on the inside)

Maree McIntosh  next up, I can't wait to see what creation she has this week!
