#GDP008

Over at Global Design Project this week they have another CASE the designer, I have chosen to Copy And Selectively Edit this card from the lovely Kylie Bertucci.

I have used Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla as my main colours and added a splash of Blushing Bride and Pear Pizazz.

Eye (heart) ewe! #GDP007

Ok, over at the Global Design Project this week, the theme is "Farm".
I could have gone to the funny farm for a bit of a break!

Well we don't really have beautiful big red barns in Australia (sure we some, but not altogether that many...) and when I think of farms I think usually think of crops and drought. I thought a soft suede (blank) card just wouldn't do...
I must say I did "cheat" and looked to the design team for inspiration and my inspiration came from the lovely Kylie Bertucci.  Thanks Kylie, ewe are awesome!

I took the photo outside in my own little farm garden (containing strawberries and copious amounts of herbs) with my Hubbies little gnome friends & our tin cow!

I even used "Farmers Market" DSP (designer series paper) to keep with the farm theme.

It is supposed to be I love you, but you already knew that! You can tell it's a female sheep because she has a pink bow.

INKspired 27 - Happy Elfin' Christmas!

Did you just come from Lisa Eaton's blog? Isn't that an amazinge card? I just LOVE her work!

As you may know, Christmas is just around the corner - sorry to keep reminding you, but I am constantly being reminded especially by what's INKspiring me at the moment!
I do so love the Christmas Cuties stamp set they are just so adorable!

When Teneale set this sketch for us she said we could substitute the star for any shape we wanted to use, but (in my opinion) this little fellow and the way he's leaping for the joy of Christmas makes him look like a star! Don't you agree?

Renee Lynch is having a well deserved break this week so next up is my very gorgeous and talented, SU Aunt, Narelle Macey.

#GDP006

This week over at the Global Design Project they have a doozy of a sketch.  I really struggled with this - even still not too sure about the end result, but hey it's there for inspiration and this is what I came up with based on the sketch provided!

I am totes loving the Peaceful Pines and especially the matching perfect pines framelits.

#GDP005 Thanks

This week over at the Global Design Project they are having a colour challenge
It was the perfect opportunity to break out the Cottage Greetings stamp set.  When I made the front panel, I thought it would be good for a journalling panel for a Project Life page, will definitely be doing this one again!

My workplace has been going through some exciting changes over the last few months and I made this card for my boss as she has been very supportive and understanding over the last six years that I have worked for her but especially during this transition time.

Be kind to each other,

INKspired Blog Hop #26 - You've Got This

Did you notice we have a new line up now?  If you came from Lisa Eaton then you probably did notice because you may have been expecting Lissa Carter.

Whatevs, right? You'll just have to hop all the way around to see the amazing talent of our team and what they have done with this fortnights sketch #INK26

This sketch had me for a moment, then I saw out of the corner of my eye "You've Got This" and YES! I do "got" this.  Perfect background stamp to partition and a great sentiment to boot!  I might even frame it and put it in my craft room to remind myself of this very same thing (I sometimes need to be reminded).

It's a bit hard to colour the non white bits of the Designer Series Paper. I still like the effect it has and it gives that extra boost of colour.

The talented Renee Lynch is next up, don't forget to comment and share the love!

Be kind to each other xx

#GDP004 - CASE the designer...

It's very daunting to case the designer publically, especially when the designer is

She is very talented and has worked really hard to get to where she is.  We are case-ing her card today (for those of you who are wondering; CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything, be it the layout, colour scheme, theme or any other part of the project that just grabs your attention and inspires you - there is a better definition on the Global Design Project's Blog but that is it basically)
So from Louise's card I have taken the following elements of design to make it my own; colour scheme (neutrals and gold) and theme (Christmas)

Now any card "inspired" by Louise needs 3 essential ingredients...

1.  a bow of SOME kind,  - check
2.  Some sparkle or bling &  - check
3. PINK  - check

This little angel is water coloured with stampin' write markers in neutral tones with PINK blushing cheeks.  She is just so cute and she comes from the Christmas Cuties Stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue.

I will list the products below so you know what you need to recreate this project yourself - or something similar

Don't forget,

Be kind to one another.
