I just love Christmas and I also love punch art and paper piecing. This Christmas Chicken was INKspired by my very cheeky girlfriend! I sure hopes she enjoys getting this in her letterbox!

The best part I got to use my Alphabet rotary stamp!

Our Sketch

I like this card because it's very plain
I just love the star framelits. I like the ease in which I created the glittered border on the silver star. It is really cute (& sparkly) IRL.  Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I used Whisper White 1/8" cotton ribbon that has been dyed with Lost Lagoon ReInker in a spray bottle.  Just a touch of colour.

Please keep well and be kind to one another. Be sure to come back soon because our next Blog Hop is our last one before Christmas...

Our Sketch

I decided to do a Louise Sharp style shaker card for my sister in law's birthday. This sketch was the perfect shape and it gave me the opportunity to crack open my new Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper

I love the subtleness of the Crisp Cantaloupe it pairs perfectly with Calypso Coral.  One of my new favourites would have to be the little flower punch - it makes the sweetest flowers.

Inkspired Blog Hop Sketch 4 - Endless Christmas

Welcome back!  Our INKspired Artists Blog Hop has been a great success!  I certainly hope you are enjoying all of the talented ladies and their amazing creations - I know I am - remember also you can CASE (Copy And Share Everything) any of the ideas you like - just remember to give credit to the original artist.

You should have just left  Louise Sharp  - blog # 7 . If so, you are in the right spot.  We are excited to share our newest creations and hopefully INKspire you to create your own masterpieces. Don't forget to comment along the way! We are always excited to receive comments from our followers!

Here is our sketch

I decided to make another Christmas card using the Festival of Trees Bundle.  I do like the flexibility of the photo-polymer stamps, can you see how I curved the "merry" around a bit just for fun.  For a bit of Christmas Glitz I "snailed" down the edge of the front panel and dipped it in Dazzling Diamonds.  I used Pink Pirouette  and Coastal Cabana to ink up a background and tried out the Heat & Stick powder with more Dazzling Diamonds  for some extra sparkle - you can NEVER have too much sparkle ;)

Maree McIntosh is your next stop, so get yourself comfy and enjoy!

I just love the "Work of Art" stamp set you can do so much with it.  The only limit is your imagination (& censorship laws ;p)

My other must have item over the last couple of weeks is the spiral border punch. It adds a really cute effect to your cards.

Here is my creation…

I do like the Blended Bloom Flower but I had to "go at it" with my Project Life journaling pens to give it some dimension. Because I was originally going to do this card in Black & White, I heat embossed the image in white on my black pennant to go under my main flower but it looked a bit too much, so I added a pop of colour using the lightest of the three yellow Blendabilities Markers just at the base of each petal and then blended it outward using the Colour Lifter.  Then I changed my mat from Whisper White to Very Vanilla with So Saffron sponging. I think its just that bit more subtle than the in your face-ness of the black & white.

My Hybrid Baby Shower

Phew! What to mention first???

1. It's digital - mostly
2. It's dimensional
3. It's see-thru
4. It's a shaker
5. It's got texture
6. It's "Oh, so cute"
7. It's pink
8. It's sparkly
9. It's handmade

AND

10. It has a matching tag and envelope

Now of course this was made (mostly) with My Digital Studio, so you just know I'm going to tell you that we could also have made matching place cards, party favours, cupcake toppers, straw "flags", invitations, RSVP cards, thank you notes, etc...

Honestly, I just love MDS. So if you would like to learn more on this amazing program contact me to host a demonstration and I could show you how great MDS really is.

Perfect for the Friday Mashup 175

This cute shaker card is my version of the shaker card shown in the you tube tutorial by Louise Sharp

Bokeh

WOW!

I'm loving this technique, it's called Bokeh (bow-ka) I think it looks like bubbles.
It is quite easy to achieve and the overall look is AWESOME but it takes a while to dry, and you need to be careful your colours don't bleed too much.

there is a great tutorial on you tube here

The Challenge I'm entering this Pinky card in The Friday Mashup 174 and the Bluey-Green one was supposed to be in the Just Us Girls challenge... too late...

I used the re-inkers with water for the background and used the Hello There Hostess stamp set

Make a Wish

Don't you just love this dinosaur? he is from the new set "Little Buddy Birthday" it's so adorable! His tiny teeth are hidden behind the balloon string but they are sooo cute! This little guy was a special order for a friend's grandson.  I am popping this little dino dude into the Paper Players Challenge 209  Clean and simple Kids Birthday. I think this is clean and simple (trust me it's much simpler than it looks! - aah, the tricks o' the trade) but you could always leave off the light blue layer... I used the Stars Decorative Mask, for my background. I think this tool will get a great workout as it's very easy to use and I think the results are spectacular (toot toot)...

Why don't you head on over to the Paper Players and check out the other creations...

Happy Birthday Dedo!

My Boss's father in law turns 80 this week and she asked me to make her a card.  Had to put ribbon on it just so I could enter the JuGS Challenge!

I cased this off Pinterest but I can't find the original creator (so sorry)

(H) I've Been Buzzy

LOL I'm all about the puns today!

My Avon Lady broke her hip last week so I made this card for her. I do hope she gets better soon, it's no fun being stuck in Hospital.

I couldn't get my photo editing to work properly so you'll just have to put up with this photo...
of course this is for a challenge & this week I'm joining in with the Just Add Ink girls and their colour challenge - although I couldn't find any So Saffron card stock so I just used Daffodil Delight.

I'm sorry I missed last weeks MDS post, I will make it up to you with an extra special post next week.

My Digital Baby Announcement

Oh, welcome to the family little one!

What a lovely keepsake this would be for any parent or grandparent. You could print this onto a canvas and hang it in baby's room, email this announcement to your techno family and friends or get them printed off to send via snail mail which ever way you chose (the possibilities are endless) this announcement is just so sweet.

Of course you can change the colours to suit your own personal preferences, blue, green, lemon or even black and white or sepia tones the possibilities are endless (again, have I mentioned that before?)

So in this project I used
*My Digital Studio Software
*Little Additions Stamp Brush Set (included in software purchase)
*Nursery Designer Series Paper (included in software purchase)
*Scallop Punch (included in software purchase)
*1.25 in Square Punch (also included in software purchase)
and  *Baby We've Grown Stamp Brush Set (extra purchase)

By the way this gorgeous bundle of baby is not mine (nor anyone that I know) it is just a random picture I chose from Google Images - still a little cutie pie.

Thanks for stoppin' by

PS Don't forget with the endless possibilities you could even create coordinating Christening / Naming Day invitations and party favours...

Digital Versatility

My Goodness! My Digital Studio is just amazing! (Have I mentioned how much I LOVE MDS?).
On page 60 of the new 2014/15 (Aust/NZ) catalogue there is a download called Always and Forever Invitation Template (#136569). This is just $3.50 YES THREE DOLLARS & FIFTY CENTS. Less than a regular cappuccino!!!!!!!  Woopie doo I hear you say, I'm not getting married, I don't need wedding invitations... but just look at a few of the things I came up with while "watching" TV last night...

This is the basic template, all I have done here is add names, dates, Place, etc.

On this second one one, I just changed the colours. Of course, you can mix and match the colours to suit your own wedding colour theme, you can even change the images, fonts and backgrounds.

You can even change the occasion, here is one for a Christening. Or you could do Baptism, Engagement Party, Sunday BBQ, Sleepover, Dog Naming Ceremony and so on. In fact, this $3.50 template can be adapted to suit anything that you need invitations for.

AND...

It doesn't have to be all one colour...
This one features all of the new in-colours (and a few old favourites)

just to celebrate the launch of the new catalogue!
So as you can see, this is very versatile!  Once you buy it and download it it's yours FOREVER!
you can print these off at home on your personal printer or even take them to Officeworks, Big-W or any print shop and get them printed there for next to nothing. How cool is that!?
