INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 1

Welcome to our FIRST INKspired Artists Blog Hop!  You should have just left blog # 7 – Louise Sharp. If so, you are in the right spot.  We are excited to share our creations and hopefully INKspire you to create your own masterpieces. Remember, as you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to receive comments from our followers! So, grab yourself a cuppa and a bickie (or a glass of wine and some cheese) and enjoy!

                                                                  This is our sketch

Here is my creation…

I do like the Blended Bloom Flower but I had to "go at it" with my Project Life journaling pens to give it some dimension. Because I was originally going to do this card in Black & White, I heat embossed the image in white on my black pennant to go under my main flower but it looked a bit too much, so I added a pop of colour using the lightest of the three yellow Blendabilities Markers just at the base of each petal and then blended it outward using the Colour Lifter.  Then I changed my mat from Whisper White to Very Vanilla with So Saffron sponging. I think its just that bit more subtle than the in your face-ness of the black & white.

Maree McIntosh is your next stop but if you get lost along the way, or a link doesn't work, it doesn’t matter because you will find the full blog hop line up in my side bar.

It's Just Us Girls, Adding Ink for Blokes...

Phew! what a week and it's only Tuesday... my cupboards arrived on Saturday {YAY} so MOST of my weekend was spent loading and organising my ever expanding craft stash into and onto my gorgeous cupboards.  I really need to downsize my stash (maybe I could make some cards??!!)   ;)

Anyway I DID use up a little bit with my "blokey card" for

I combined it with the

Graphic

I know, making one card for two challenges doesn't use up twice as much stash... but give me a break! Ive been busy organising and repacking PLUS I have been playing nurse for the last two days.  Here is my card for my wonderful Husband who picked up my cupboards and helped me put them in my Stampin' Studio!

Gorgeous grunge makes an AWESOME galaxy! Don't you think?

Just Inspirational

This weeks Just Us Girls Challenge was a Photo Inspiration Challenge. This is a gorgeous photo but left me wondering, "Who sleeps in their kitchen?" !  This is such a subtle and pretty room and obviously multi-purpose!  This room kinda reminds me of my "up line" Louise Sharp - Pink and dotty (in a GOOD way)!   I am always in awe of her creations and she is also part of the inspiration for my card below.

I like the white of the room and used the subtle colours seen above as an "unfeatured" feature. I am particularly impressed with the white-on-white wood grain embossing, it reminds me of the storage space and the chairs in the room - I may use that again in the future!

Hope you like it, I'm quite impressed with it.  Now after all this Girly stuff I need to make Father's Day Cards!!  Wish me luck.  Keep Stampin' Marls xx
